Angelica is reported to have antispasmodic, perspiring, decongestive, aromatic, diuretic as well as locally anti-inflammatory attributes. It is particularly used in cases of catarrh, elevation, psychogenic asthma, bloating in stomach-[elevation], anorexia nervosa, rheumatic diseases, peripheral vassal diseases and in cases of pleurisy and bronchitis as well as bronchitis combined with vassal insufficiency. It has also been used in cases of loss of appetite and indigestion as heartburns and bloating stomach.
